The sunflower symbolises hope, and its bright colours help to visualise and make the wearers card stand out.
Sunflower lanyards can be worn by people with a host of disabilities and these include, mental health disorders, sensory loss such as being hard of hearing or loss of sight, a non obvious physical disability, or any learning disability.
